Space Maintainer

We offer space maintainers to help restore function, prevent space loss and help with growth and development.

Band and Loop

If only one baby molar is missing or extracted, we usually place this small space maintainer to hold the baby or adult tooth in place. Without this appliance, teeth can tip and shift leading to space loss and complicated future orthodontic treatment

Nance Appliance

If more than two upper teeth are missing or extracted, this is the preferred space maintainer for its superior retention and stability. We can only place this if upper adult molars are fully erupted so we need to assess your child first.

Lower Lingual Holding Arch

If more than two lower teeth are missing or extracted, this is the preferred space maintainer for its superior retention and stability. We can only place this is lower adult molars and adult incisors are fully erupted so we need to assess your child for suitability first.

Habit Appliance

If your child has a habit of thumb sucking or tongue thrusting, it might be beneficial to place a permanent appliance to curb the habit. Please consult to find out more options.

Phase I Orthodontics

For kids with severe crowding or blocked out adult teeth, we offer phase I orthodontics. It can be correcting cross bite, expanding a narrow arch, aligning crooked teeth, expanding airway, creating space before adult teeth erupt. The most common age to start early intervention is around age 7-8 or when all adult molars and incisors are erupted. We need to do a clinical and radiographical examination to determine so please contact our office if you are interested.

Invisalign
